White Sauce Pasta



This pasta recipe is the easiest of all. I personally love the recipe very much.It is healthy and delicious. Takes less than 30 minutes to prepare.

So let's get to the ingredients.


Ingredients :

1.       2 cups of elbow shaped pasta

2.       4-6 tbs of mozzarella cheese

3.       4-6 tbs of normal processed cheese

4.       Herbs

5.       1 tbs butter

6.       1 tbs all purpose flour

7.       1/4th tsp of pepper

8.       Salt to taste

9.       Milk ( approximately a cup )

Procedure :

1.     To a suitable pan add the pasta. To it add some water, 5-6 drops of oil and salt. On a medium flame let the pasta boil for about 10 minutes. Adding oil to the pasta prevents it from sticking

2.      Once the pasta is cooked , place it in a colander, let the water drain and run cold water over it. Keep it aside.

3.       In a pan pour about a tsp of oil. Then add butter  along with flour. Two things to remember here:

a)      Adding oil prevents the butter from burning

b)      The quantity of butter and flour should be equal. Ratio = 1:1

4.       Once a thick paste of the flour and butter is formed, to it add milk. The quantity of milk can vary according to the thickness of the sauce. Depends on the person preparing it. Keep whisking it so as to prevent clot formation.

5.       To this add mozzarella and processed cheese. Keep whisking.

6.       Add salt and herbs to it.

7.       Now add the pasta to this cheesy and creamy sauce. Stir so that the sauce mixes with the pasta and coats it well so that you get the taste of the sauce with each morsel.

1.       Garnish the pasta with assorted herbs.
